Outfielder Jeffrey Leonard of the San Francisco Giants, claiming fraud and conspiracy, has filed suit in federal court against several Los Angeles financial representatives.
Leonard had arranged for his $850,000 salary be sent directly to L.A. Pro Sports Management for investment use, the suit said. But what happened, according to Leonard’s attorneys, were dubious transactions by which property was transferred through a “straw man intermediary†and excessive fees taken.
