Maritz Selected Golf All-American for Fourth Time

SAN DIEGO — Laura Maritz of United States International University became the first four-time All-American in women’s intercollegiate golf Tuesday night, named to the 10-member team at a banquet at the NCAA championships in Albuquerque, N.M.
Maritz finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in the nation and won two tournaments, finished second three times and third twice.
Maritz, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, has finished in the top 10 in 42 of 51 college tournaments.
The Gulls’ Helen Alfredsson was named honorable mention All-America.
