Panels Recess Iran-Contra Hearings

WASHINGTON — The House and Senate committees investigating the Iran- contra scandal recessed their joint hearings Thursday and will resume them next Wednesday morning with testimony from Iranian businessman Albert A. Hakim.
Hakim, the business partner of retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Richard V. Secord, has given vital financial information to the committees in closed session and is expected to provide important testimony in the affair.
