Two groups purchased shares in Jefferies Group.

The two affiliated New York partnerships, Tweedy, Browne Co. and TBK Partners, said they bought a combined 5.5% of the Los Angeles brokerage company’s common shares outstanding. In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the two partnerships said they hold 432,520 Jefferies Group shares for their own accounts and the accounts of their clients. According to the filing, the partnerships purchased the shares for investment purposes and may buy or sell additional shares depending on market and other conditions.
