Odetics Inc., the Anaheim maker of advanced electronics, said it will receive an additional $2.45 million for renewal of its contract with Mitsubishi Electronics Corp. to develop two on-board data recorders for satellites.
The Japanese firm first enlisted Odetics about year ago to build the recorders for satellite-to-earth transmission of data gathered in space. The initial contract was for $2.3 million, a spokesman said. Odetics estimated the total value of the contract at $10 million by the time the complex recorders are completed in 1990.
