Irvine : UCI Students to Present Research Into Cloning

Student research about cloning and other subjects will be the focus Tuesday as UC Irvine undergraduates present findings from their in-depth studies during a scientific symposium.

The annual Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Research topics to be presented include gene cloning, obstructive sleep apnea and air pollution studies.

Students participating in the symposium come from the Excellence in Research program, which requires at least a year of independent research under the guidance of a faculty member in the School of Biological Sciences or the College of Medicine.
