Congratulations to John Marshall High School for its victory in the U.S. Academic Decathlon. Congratulations also to David Tokofsky, the teacher who coached his team to such heights. Too bad the district may lose him. He remarked that he may be forced to leave the teaching field in search of a higher paying job.
The Los Angeles Board of Education says it can’t afford to give teachers the raise they are asking for. At the risk of losing teachers like Tokofsky, they can’t afford not to!
