One of two gunmen suspected of killing a street gang member and wounding two others in a shooting in the Athens Park area has been arrested, sheriff’s deputies said. Mark Cofield, 24, was booked on suspicion of murder Friday night, shortly after opening fire on rival gang members in the driveway of a house on West 89th Street in the unincorporated neighborhood in South Los Angeles, deputies said. Lorenzo Crosby, 21, was killed, and two other gang members, Antoni Young, 17, and Kevin Campbell, 18, were wounded. They were reported in good condition at Martin Luther King Jr.-Drew Medical Center. The second gunman was still at large.
