Laguna Beach : 2 Women Injured on Laguna Canyon Road
Two elderly sisters were injured shortly after noon Wednesday on Laguna Canyon Road when their car skidded off the road and overturned.
Laguna Beach police said the two women--Marie Cory, 76, and Helen Ruggio 75, both of Highland Park--were traveling westbound when they were passed by a car driven by David Dicken, 47, of Hacienda Heighs. Cory, the driver, then lost control of her car, skidded and overturned.
She was airlifted to Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo, where she was listed in serious condition with broken ribs. Ruggio was taken by ambulance to Saddleback Community Hospital in Laguna Hills for treatment of shoulder and neck injuries.
