A decision to expel a goalkeeper during a soccer game triggered riots between youth and police, leaving at least 42 people injured, 16 arrested and two stores pillaged, authorities said in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
Police lobbed tear gas and fired shots into the air to disperse the rioters who had moved into the streets of the capital city Sunday night after an umpire expelled the Madagascar goalkeeper in a loss to Kenya.
