The Nation : Immunity Delay Granted
The independent counsel in the Iran- contra affair has won a 20-day delay in the granting of limited immunity from prosecution to four men who could help congressional investigators determine where profits from the arms sales went, spokesmen said. U.S. District Judge Aubrey Robinson signed an order granting the delay to give Lawrence E. Walsh time to develop independent cases in the event he wants to prosecute the witnesses.
