William J. Casey, the former CIA director who resigned in February after undergoing cancer surgery, was discharged from Georgetown University Hospital after being readmitted for “re-evaluation,†a hospital spokeswoman said. Casey, a key figure in the Iran- contra scandal, underwent cancer therapy during his 15-day hospital stay, the spokeswoman said. She had no comment on the condition of the 74-year-old Casey, who had surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor on Dec. 18.
