Catcher Rich Gedman, frustrated by his free-agent negotiations, said Friday he will take the same tough posture as former Boston teammate Roger Clemens and sit out the 1987 season if necessary. Gedman, a two-time All-Star, worked out in Houston Friday with Clemens, who walked out of the Red Sox training camp earlier this month in a contract dispute.
