Bellflower : School Zones to Be Changed
To accommodate the reopening of Horace Mann Elementary School next fall, the Bellflower Unified School District board will adopt boundary changes tonight for the district’s eight elementary schools.
The board decided in February to reopen the site after a superintendent’s study showed that elementary school enrollment had been steadily increasing since the district closed half of its 16 elementary schools in 1980.
The board will be considering three options, said Moss Dart, district spokesman. The meeting will be 7:30 p.m. in the district board room.
