(U.S.A., 1985, 6 p.m., Barnsdall)
A Boston-made documentary centering on black activism against brutal police tactics in recent years. Focusing on several incidents and trials, the film makers present a rambling indictment against the system, unlikely to convert existing attitudes. “Dark Exodus,” on the same program, is an effective, sepia-tinted dramatic vignette set in a racially intolerant Alabama town in 1918 where black farmers meet resistance to leaving for the North.
