SOUTHERN SECTION BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES
Top-seeded Rosamond High School overcame a nine-point deficit in the first half to beat Maricopa, 43-39, in the Southern Section Small School Girls basketball championship game Friday night at Antelope Valley College.
The Roadrunners (24-2) were led by seniors Andrea Arcuri and CeCe Landsgaard, who led Rosamond to its 22nd straight win. Arcuri scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds and 7 steals.
Landsgaard added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists.
