For Hockey, Why Not a World Championship?

The NHL would do well to keep their mid-season All-Star game against the Russians. As an avid hockey fan, I feel compelled each season to watch the NHL All-Star game. The overpaid pros’ showcase is a bore, as is their excuse-me-did-I-bump-you-with-my-bodycheck attitude.

Come on, NHL. Prove you are the best. If your All-Star team won’t play the Russians, then how about a world championship against those great Russian players?
