With KCOP Channel 13 personnel afoot--and in the air--live coverage of the second Los Angeles Marathon will begin Sunday morning.

Pre-race activities on KCOP will be shown at 8 a.m., followed by coverage of the wheelchair race at 8:30 a.m. and the marathon at 9 a.m., with a prime-time wrap-up at 8 p.m. Spanish-language station KVEA Channel 52 will carry highlights of the event from 5 to 6 p.m.

Reported by Mike Chamberlin, Tim Malloy and Wendy Rutledge, among others, the 26.2-mile race will be covered on KCOP from afar by three helicopters and a blimp, and on the ground by a camera crew of 28--rain or shine.

Today’s pro basketball schedule finds the Lakers playing Utah at 6:30 p.m. (9), with the Milwaukee Bucks-Chicago Bulls game airing at 12:30 p.m. (2)(8).

On the collegiate level, Pac-10 basketball champ UCLA meets Louisville today at 11:30 a.m. (4)(36)(39).

In golf, CBS has the final two rounds of the Doral Open today at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. (2)(8), while NBC carries the Women’s Kemper Open today at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. (4)(36)(39).

For Dodger fans, two specials are due this weekend on Channel 11. “The 25th Anniversary of Dodger Stadium,†hosted by Ross Porter, airs tonight at 8:30. That’s followed Sunday at 10 p.m. by a nostalgic look at “The Blue of ’62.â€
