Something Lucky Wins Bolsa Chica Stakes by 1 1/2 Over Red And Blue at Santa Anita
Something Lucky, ridden by Laffit Pincay, drove to the lead in midstretch and won by 1 1/2 lengths Wednesday in the $65,100 Bolsa Chica Stakes for 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.
Red And Blue, ridden by Rafael Meza, finished second a half-length in front of Fleeting Jet, ridden by Gary Stevens.
Something Lucky’s winning time was 1:10 3/5. The son of Something Fabulous paid $7.40, $5.40 and $3.40; Red And Blue returned $9.40 and $4.40, and Fleeting Jet paid $3.20 to show.
