SDSU Sweeps SCC in Doubleheader

SAN DIEGO — James Campbell went 1 for 3, scored a run, knocked in a run and pitched a five-hit shutout to lead San Diego State to an 8-0 victory over Southern California College in the first game of a nonconference doubleheader on Smith Field.
San Diego State scored 10 runs in the second inning and won, 20-5, in Game 2.
San Diego State is 2-1. Southern California College is 1-4.
In the first game, Nikco Riesgo had 3 hits and Lance Pinnell had 2 hits and 2 RBIs to lead the Aztecs’ 10-hit attack. The Aztecs put the game away with a six-run sixth inning.
