Lawrence Conger, 28, was arrested on suspicion of murder early Friday morning after San Diego police officers responded to a disturbance call at the New Palace Hotel downtown and found Conger bleeding from a knife wound on his left thigh and his roommate with his throat slashed.
Conger was transferred to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was treated and then taken to County Jail.
The identity of the slaying victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
