Local News in Brief : $10,000 Reward Offered in Slaying of Deputy
Two law-enforcement agencies are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the killer or killers of a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy who was shot in his Burbank home, officials said.
Charles Robert Anderson was slain, apparently by an intruder, after he entered the house with his 5-year-old son shortly after midnight last Friday, police said. Anderson, 35, had been a deputy 11 years.
Burbank police said Friday they have no suspects.
The reward is being offered by the Los Angeles Professional Peace Officers Assn. and the Assn. of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, Deputy Sam Jones said.
