Plight of the Homeless
The homeless on the street: some are mentally disturbed, some of them are drug addicts and criminals; all of them need our help. They need counseling, psychotherapy and job training.
Before any of the above, they need shelter. Anyone who has ever felt helpless or hopeless knows how they feel. The difference being we, the more fortunate, have the money, position, and friend/family network to support and help us along.
Anyone who has the least bit of empathy for these people should show sympathy by supporting permanent shelters for these people.
It is not a solution, but it is a start.
