A 19-year-old Fountain Valley man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed through a wall, a storage shed and a mobile home, authorities said Monday.
Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Larry Griswold said Keith E. Weathers was driving on Oak Street and Talbert Avenue about 10 p.m. Sunday, when he lost control of his 1984 Mustang. The impact pushed the home an inch off its supports, Griswold said.
Weathers ran from the wreckage but was arrested later in his home about half a mile away, after police found his address on the car’s registration, Griswold said.
Weathers was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and misdemeanor hit-and-run, then was released with a citation, Griswold said.
