Armor All Reports 34% Jump in Net for Quarter

Armor All Products Corp., the Irvine firm whose sealant holds an estimated 90% of the automotive protectant market, said net income for its third fiscal quarter was a record $5.5 million, a 34% jump over the $4.1 million posted as net income for the same time period a year ago.
Sales, boosted by orders for the company’s new household and car cleaner, were $33 million during the quarter ended Dec. 31, an increase of 18% over the $27.9 million in revenue posted a year earlier.
For the first nine months of fiscal 1987, earnings totaled $12.2 million, a growth of 20% over $10.1 million recorded at this time last year. Revenues for the nine-month period were $77.5 million, a 17% rise compared to the company’s three-quarter total of $66.3 million one year earlier.
