Catherine Quittet of France won her first World Cup race by taking the women’s super giant slalom in 1 minute 17.40 seconds at Pfronten, West Germany.
West German Traudl Haecher was second in 1:17.92, and Marina Kiehl, also of West Germany, took third in 1:18.37.
Pam Fletcher of Acton, Mass., was 19th, and Eva Twardokens of Olympic Valley, Calif., was 21st.
