Cinerama Founder Hazard Reeves Dies

Hazard E. Reeves, the sound engineer and film and corporation executive who founded Cinerama Inc. in 1950, has died at his Tuxedo Park home near New York City.
Reeves, 80, died Dec. 23, but his death was not announced until this week. He was founder of Reeves Sound Studios in New York, which conceived the three-projector and magnetic sound-recording processes that became Cinerama.
