1,130 Pounds of Marijuana Seized on Boat Off Mexcio

ISLAS MUJERES, Mexico — A British-registered boat carrying nearly 1,130 pounds of marijuana was intercepted by the navy off the coast of this resort town near Cancun in the Gulf of Mexico, officials reported Sunday.
The captain of the boat, the Tartan Queen Liverpool, was taken into custody, the navy said.
