Mine Kills 3 in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Three people were killed and 11 injured in northwest Pakistan by a land mine near the Afghan border, political authorities said Sunday. It was not known whether the victims were Pakistanis or Afghans. The area is a haven for Afghan refugees and Muslim guerrilla groups who operate across the border.
