Irvine : 2 Men Accused of Selling Cocaine to Police Officers
Two men were being held in the Orange County jail Saturday on suspicion of trying to sell $500,000 of cocaine to undercover sheriff’s deputies.
Manuel I. Flores, 28, and Steve W. Miller, 36, were arrested Friday night after a weeklong investigation by Irvine police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Lt. Tom Conner said.
Flores was held on $250,000 bail and Miller’s bail was set at $150,000. Authorities had no home addresses for the men.
Conner said that the Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by the Irvine Police Department. The officers arranged to buy approximately five kilograms of cocaine at a hotel in Irvine, where the two men were arrested without incident, and the drugs were seized. More arrests and seizures are expected, Conner said.
