A Los Altos woman was charged with murdering her husband with a shotgun while he watched television in their living room. Katherine Wrigley, 35, was arrested after she called the police emergency line and said, “I just shot my husband,” Lt. Tom Davis said. Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies found the body of James Wrigley, 41, in a chair in the living room of the couple’s expensive home. “She told the kids, ‘Children, go upstairs. I want to talk to your dad,’ ” Davis said. “She then went upstairs, got a shotgun and blew his head off while he was watching television.” Wrigley reportedly told deputies that her husband often beat her and their two children, ages 14 and 10.
