Trucks loaded with emergency supplies drove into the beleaguered Palestinian refugee camp of Rashidiyeh in southern Lebanon, witnesses said. An Iranian Embassy car led the column of five trucks and four ambulances into the battered shantytown, under siege by Shia Muslim militiamen since Sept. 30. The convoy was the first to reach Rashidiyeh, which houses 22,000 refugees, since a similar relief effort on Dec. 13. Palestinians say the refugees are suffering shortages of fresh water, milk, meat and vegetables.
