The Pennsylvania parole board has denied parole for Ramona Africa, the only adult MOVE member to survive the May, 1985, battle with Philadelphia police, officials said. The board’s decision means that Africa will not be considered for parole again until next October, a spokesman for the board said. Africa has been held at the State Correctional Institute in Muncy, Pa., since her conviction in April on charges of rioting and conspiracy.
