A 16-year-old newspaper delivery boy suffered head injuries Monday when his bicycle was hit by a car, San Diego police said.
Hai Ly was described as comatose at Children’s Hospital, Sgt. Ronald W. Nichols said.
Police said Ly was on his bicycle about 6:15 a.m. delivering newspapers in the 4100 block of 40th Street when he veered into the street and was hit by a southbound car driven by a 23-year-old woman. The driver was was not charged.
