The World - News from Dec. 15, 1986

A group calling itself the Arab Revolutionary Brigades is threatening new terrorist attacks in Italy, the Italian press reported. In a message to Prime Minister Bettino Craxi, the group threatened renewed violence unless Italy frees its Arab prisoners, the reports said. No specific prisoners were mentioned in the reports, but the latest threats coincide with an appeals court ruling, expected to be handed down today, on the cases of convicted terrorists Mohamed Abdullah Mansouri and Josephine Abdo Sarkis, both serving long terms. The threats come nearly a year after Italy’s last Middle East terrorist violence, the Rome airport attack on Dec. 27, 1985, that killed 16 travelers and injured 72.
