Vietnam Hit by Floods

BANGKOK, Thailand — Floods in central Vietnam killed dozens of people and caused $12.5 million worth of damage during the first week of December, Hanoi radio said Friday. The radio, monitored in Bangkok, said floodwaters up to nine feet deep swept away 5,000 houses, ruined thousands of tons of food and washed away railroad tracks, dams and dikes in Nghia Binh and Quang Nam-Danang provinces.
