The Taiwanese will restrain machine-tool exports.
Machine-tool makers have agreed to limit exports to the United States under an agreement initialed by the United States and Taiwanese governments, U.S. Trade Representative Clayton K. Yeutter said. The agreement, subject to President Reagan’s approval, is “part of the President’s program to strengthen the domestic machine-tool industry,†Yeutter added.
