Anheuser-Busch Plant Chief Named President of VICA
Earl Burke, manager of the Anheuser-Busch plant in Van Nuys, was named president of the Valley Industry and Commerce Assn.
Burke, a VICA member for 12 years, replaces Ross Hopkins, manager of public affairs for the Lockheed-California Co. in Burbank, a unit of Calabasas-based Lockheed Corp.
Burke was named manager of the Van Nuys plant six years ago. He joined Anheuser-Busch in 1969, and also has worked at the company’s St. Louis headquarters and at a brewery in Columbus, Ohio.
The VICA president, elected by the group’s board of directors, serves a one-year term. VICA represents more than 400 businesses and individuals in the San Fernando Valley area.
