Westminster : Woman, 75, Dies After Being Struck by Pickup

A 75-year-old pedestrian was killed Saturday after being struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 16th Street. The driver of the truck was arrested at the scene and charged with felony drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter, police said.
Doris Klatt of Westminster was struck in the southbound traffic lane of Pacific, Sgt. Mike Mittelstaedt said. She was taken to Fountain Valley Trauma Center, where she died of massive internal injuries. Sherwood M. Crane, 39, also of Westminster, was arrested by police.
