Firm Summoned in Boesky Case
NEW YORK — Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc., a New York investment firm that specializes in financing takeovers, said today it has been asked to provide information to the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with the Ivan Boesky case.
The firm said it was subpoenaed in the government’s widening insider trading investigation that started with Dennis Levine, a former merger specialist at Drexel, and on Friday led to a $100-million settlement with Boesky, a prominent Wall Street arbitrageur.
