Local News in Brief : Woman Found Dead by Jogger in Newhall

Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death of an unidentified woman whose fully clothed body was found Wednesday morning in Newhall.
The body was discovered by a jogger about 7:15 a.m. near Placerita Canyon Road, about two miles east of Running Horse Road, Deputy Carl Deeley said.
The woman was 40 to 50 years old, of Asian descent and wearing blue denim pants and a blue pullover sweat shirt, the deputy said.
The cause of her death was not immediately disclosed.
