Mother Accused of Tossing New Baby From Window

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. — A 20-year-old woman was arrested and charged with throwing her son out a second-floor window shortly after she gave birth to him, police said Sunday. The infant was in critical condition in Stony Brook University Hospital and the mother, Carol Washington of Brentwood, was being held late Saturday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
