Valley Erupts Early to Rout Rio Hondo, 42-0
Valley College stayed in contention for the Southern California Conference title with a 42-0 rout at Rio Hondo on Saturday.
The win was the fourth straight for the Monarchs, whose record improved to 4-3, 4-1 in conference. Valley entered the game one game behind undefeated College of the Desert.
Valley scored 21 points in the first period and 14 in the second to take a 42-0 lead at halftime. Coach Chuck Ferrero played his entire roster in the scoreless second half.
