An El Cajon man accused in a series of East County sexual assaults will go on trial Dec. 4.
Carlos Antonie Hinojosa, 30, a diesel mechanic, pleaded innocent Wednesday to the 17 counts of rape, assault with intent to commit rape, burglary, forcible oral copulation and assault with a deadly weapon.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Richard Huffman set the trial date at Hinojosa’s arraignment.
Eight women identified Hinojosa as their attacker during a two-day preliminary hearing on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Hinojosa remains in custody in County Jail downtown without bail.
