Diceon Posts $6.9-Million Net for Its Fiscal 1986

Diceon Electronics Inc. said it posted a record $6.9-million net profit for its fiscal 1986, ended Sept. 27, up 1% from $6.8 million the year before. However, the prior-year profit included a one-time gain of $895,000 from an insurance payment.

Sales of $64.7 million for the year were up 18% from $54.9 million.

The Irvine electronics company said strong fourth-quarter profits of $2 million, up 11% from $1.8 million, contributed significantly to the record year. Sales for the final quarter were $16.4 million, up 17% from $14 million.

Diceon, which has enjoyed a 50% annual compounded sales growth rate since 1981, designs and manufactures complex circuit boards for sophisticated electronics equipment used in the data-processing and telecommunications industries and by a growing number of defense contractors.
