Litton Industries acquired CLS Laser Systems.

Terms of the cash deal for the privately held defense contractor were not disclosed. CLS, based in South Windsor, Conn., is a small high-technology company that specializes in carbon dioxide gas lasers. It will operate as a research and engineering facility of Litton’s Orlando, Fla.-based Laser Systems division, which is part of Litton’s Electronic Warfare Systems group.
