Stumbo and Smoke
Bella Stumbo was so sly, wry and witty as she lobbed her bombinades of sarcasm, and so shining in her display of incandescent piety and self-righteousness that I was veritably wafted away on winds of admiration by her sincerity, conviction and--I must say it--moral superiority. I have no doubt about her and her chums ever committing the grievous sin of befouling the circumambient air--certainly not by ever traveling in anything so filthy and murderous as a vehicle powered by an internal-combustion engine. Oh nooooo, suuuch virtue.
