LOS ANGELES COUNTY - News from Sept. 30, 1986
Leonard Weil, president and chief executive of Mitsui Manufacturers Bank for 24 years, will retire at year-end, the Los Angeles bank announced.
Weil, who will have the title president emeritus, will be succeeded by Yutaro (Chuck) Hayashi.
Hayashi has been deputy president and chief operating officer since 1985. He joined the bank from its Tokyo-based parent, Mitsui Bank Ltd., when it merged with Manufacturers Bank in 1981. The bank has assets of $2 billion.
