Torrance : Murder and Mystery

A make-believe mystery, “Who Murdered the Chief of Police?” will be played out in the streets of downtown Torrance on Oct. 11 in a benefit for the Torrance Historical Society.
The cast of characters will include Mayor Katy Geissert; Janet Payne, president of the Torrance Historical Society; Danny Shanahan, author of Historical Torrance, and Don Lee, a former City Council candidate.
Participants, who are encouraged to dress in the style of the 1920s, can eat an outdoor teriyaki buffet dinner and view a display of vintage automobiles in between tracking down clues.
