International Lease Finance, a major operating lessor and remarketer of commercial jet aircraft, reported record financial results for the third quarter and the first nine months ended Aug. 31. Net income of the corporation, based in Beverly Hills, rose 89% for the third quarter and 64% for the first nine months. Leslie L. Gonda, chairman and chief executive, said the company’s performance was due to a substantial increase in jet aircraft leasing income and intensified aircraft marketing operations.
